Published

I got one of my poems published in volume 5 of Thread, it's an undergraduate journal for literary inquiry out of the University of South Florida's English department. They made me cut a line, which is ok. It's a small price to pay for being in print.

The Mc10:35

Two of my good friends, Jamey Gleason and Tyler Cole, decided to make a stop motion video for the holy grease union that is The Mc10:35. The idea is you go to a McDonalds at 10:35am just as the breakfast menu is being switched over to the Lunch/Dinner menu. This precarious timing affords you the opportunity to order a double cheese burger as well as an egg Mcmuffin. Combining the two together forms the breakfast and lunch megazord known as The Mc10:35! Check out their gnar video and surprisingly catchy song to see this delicacy in action!

Overall I think this video is stellar. The visuals and editing are simple, yet skillfully crafted. Accompanying the images is an original song created specifically for this video by the duo. Jamey and Tyler may be a bit familiar to you as two of the members from the band Dear Dakota. Fine work, expect more from these guys in the future, visually and hopefully sonically.

I want to do this

Spoken word has never been of an interest to me. It was never an issue of conveyance of emotion, but that is always seemed to lack technical proficiency. That is until I saw this video. Anis Mojgani has changed this for me. He's a two-time National Slam Poetry Champion, and he's fucking rad. So I'm considering getting into spoken word, who knows...

It has been awhile, I know.

I've been lazy busy these past few months with the trivial things in life that absolutely have to come first before writing, you know, distractions and such. Anyhow, got some positive feedback from Iowa on my poetry. Taking a fiction class in the fall, we'll see which path I choose for grad school. I'd rather be a fiction writer, but poetry comes easier. One of my professors told me that I can apply for both and be reviewed separately, so I might do that, unless the muses choose for me.

Starting a novel, it should be interesting to see how it turns out. Just watched Wonder Boys and have delusions of being Toby Maguire's character, with Chabon's success and a little of Douglas' charm. As of now, all I have down for the novel is the vibe and the title, which I'm not posting because I'm a dork.

So in the following months expect some fresh content, actually pray, cross your fingers, light incense or whatever; I know I am.

Iowa Writer's Workshop!!!!!

In an effort to make something real with my writing I-a horrible student-have decided to apply to literally the most prestigious writing school in the country. Ranked number one in the US, on numerous lists, and being the first creative writing MFA program in America, the Iowa Writer's Workshop is fucking legit. Me being accepted to this program would be the equivalent of a bucket beating drummer bum being accepted to Julliard. Whatevs, I don't need your quarter because at the University of Iowa tuition is paid for you as well as a sweet little stipend for teaching an undergrad class. Yeah, they pay you to go to school there. Anyway, I just nabbed a spot in the Iowa Writer's Workshop Summer Writing Festival, with the caliber of writers at their disposal you'd think they could come up with a better name. Uber nerd pumped about it, hopefully in a few weeks whoever reads this crap I publish will notice an improvement. Peace. I'm out!

Book Inscriptions = Awesome

Something about a book inscription makes the book so much more meaningful. Like it is instead a message from someone to you. The ultimate Hallmark card. Anyway this site is full of pictures of them. I really like the elliott smith one

Where the hell is matt

This video is awesome. Sweet moves with even sweeter destinations. Apparently he is sponsored by a gum company. Cherry gig brah!

Seriously if this doesn't make you want to travel. Then it is safe to say in America you will stay (yeah sometimes I rhyme deal with it)

click the video to watch it on youtube in HD and in the correct ratio

Let them eat crack!!

British graffiti artist Banksy is sublime. The only thing known about this quasi-anonymous artist is that he is british. His work is often satirical and politically charged. However it is always awesome.

Here's a few of his pieces. Hop on over here to see his site.

God. I'm so broke I don't even have a dollar to snort my adderall through.

Why? Just bought a new guitar. So I shall be 'ballin on a budget' as they say for next few weeks. Oh well the guitar is sick.
